  • What is the Multi Media Manager Programme?

    A coaching based development programme that has been specifically developed to meet the information technology needs of the modern manager. It is far more than a software skills development programme; it seeks to develop a manager's capability to fully exploit information technology in pursuit of effective and efficient working practices.

    The true value of this programme can be found in its methodology; one on one support and role led. The programme recognises the unique development requirements identified when job and individual needs are combined in to one learning package. The broad brush approach of most IT development programmes leads individuals to learn what a package can do rather than how the package can help them in their role. The CMS Multi Media Manager Programme focuses on how each software package or 'piece of kit' can be best used by a manager to improve their own working practices.

  • How does the Multi Media Manager Programme work?

    Each manager accessing the programme is appointed a personal coach whose first task is to ascertain the potential and beneficial use for information technology within the manager's role. This is followed by the identification of existing skill levels in the particular software operations identified. A development plan, timed and costed, is then drawn up.

    The coaching takes place in the work place, unless requested otherwise. Individual coaching sessions tend to be for 1½ to 2 hours. Telephone support is made available as part of the development programme, to help when those panic moments hit.

    In addition to addressing software development needs the programme can also be accessed by those whose development requirements relate to those smaller items of technology which are now part of a manager's 'kit', for example PDAs, Blackberry type mobiles and Sat Nav equipment.
