Consultancy & Research

Our clients often commission CMS to provide them with specialist advice about ways of proceeding with a particular organisational, learning or people-related issue.

No two subjects are ever the same, although the consultancy approach is generally similar. Examples of our recent consultancy projects include providing our client with:

• Ideas about how the employees of a local government cleaning service could be helped to feel more recognised and valued by their organisation.
• An analysis of how inter-organisational relationships in the UK water industry supply chain might be enhanced.
• Feedback to senior managers within the public sector about workforce perceptions of their managers and what they ideally expected of them in the future.

Our approach to such projects consists of understanding what your organisation wants to know, designing appropriate data-collection methods and then consulting with your people, using questionnaires, interviews and/or focus groups. We hold a meeting with your senior people to feedback our findings, provide you with statistical analysis and a written report and help you action plan the way forward.

We are also able to conduct larger-scale qualitative research commissions. For example we were recently invited to develop a new model of leadership by the Learning and Skills Council - West Yorkshire.

Commissioning a bespoke programme from CMS is easy. We will visit you to discuss your specific circumstances and then submit a written and fully costed proposal recommending a training solution. You will not be charged for any work until you agree to the proposal and sign a formal contract.
